Kim Rudd - Board Treasurer

Kim Rudd

Treasurer

I work in the Healthcare Industry and have been employed with UnitedHealthcare for 30 years. I enjoy helping people navigate our complex health systems.

I am a Senior Director of Operations for our Vision and Dental business and our Portfolio Management for Specialty Operations. I have an MBA in Business Administration and enjoy being an adult learner. I am happily married to my partner of 20 years, and I have a daughter, son-in-law and two beautiful grandsons. I enjoy Camping, Hiking, Traveling, and River Rafting (the lazy kind). I also love to give back to my community and volunteer at various community events.

I have been the host of a Family Council Session at a local nursing home, supported the North Texas Food Bank, a UHCCF supporter, and am also a team leader for the Alzheimer’s Association each year in Dallas (this one is personal for me). Because I enjoy giving back to the community and being a part of something positive in the community, is the reason I decided to join the Board of Directors here at the North Texas Pride Foundation.

Jeff Jones

Originally from Indianapolis, IN, Jeff relocated to the Metroplex in early 2000 where he lives in McKinney Jeff with his newest Fur Baby Chica, a miniature Schwarzer. Jeff has two daughters, Brittany and Courtney and two grandkids, Miley and Max.

Jeff works in the healthcare industry and in his spare time volunteers almost every week with LGBTQ+ organizations across the Dallas area.

Jeff enjoys spending time with family and friends. When not volunteering he enjoys lake boating and tubing, traveling as often as he can enjoying outdoor activities like hiking, site seeing, the beach and exploring new cuisines.

Jeff joined the North Texas Pride Foundation to support our mission and play a larger role in the community through the foundations activities.

Bill Demeduk - Board Member

Bill Demeduk

Bill lives in McKinney with his three children (David, Daniel & Jasmine) and two dogs (Marty & Brandy). He moved to McKinney (with his now ex-husband) in 2009 from San Diego, CA, where he was born and raised, mostly for a bigger home and a better educational system for the kids.

He has worked in various positions leading up into management at a major US Defense Contractor. Bill connected with Morris Garcia, who was then president of CCGLA (now GALA) when he moved here. He hosted the next two years’ Christmas parties for the CCGLA organization and then moved on with Morris to support the North Texas Pride Foundation (NTPF) as a board member. He was involved with NTPF for multiple years but had to step down due to work and family demands. He reached out to Morris again in 2022 to rejoin the NTPF board once again.

Bill has seen first hand how McKinney schools and the general population treats gay men and their children. And the verdict is good. In 12 years of school for three kids, there was only one incident of a kid making fun of one of his kids because he had (at the time), two dads. That’s a pretty remarkable statement. He is happy to be once again more involved with the LGBTQ+ community in North Texas.

David Gutierrez - Board Member

David Gutierrez

Originally from San Antonio, Texas, David relocated to North Texas in 2011 where he lives with his partner, Marcus. Both have been involved with the North Texas Pride Foundation since 2019. In 2022, David was given the opportunity to join the board, which he gratefully accepted.

David brings years of experience working with and leading diverse groups. He is a former board member of the Texas Governor’s Juvenile Justice Advisory Board whose purpose is to advise the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division on programs and preventative solutions and submit recommendations regarding federal compliance issues and federal grant disbursements. He has also served as a board member for the Boys & Girls Club of Walker County and worked with numerous EBRG’s in promoting diversity and inclusion. Prior to entering the corporate world, David worked with non-profit residential treatment centers for teens, nursing and retirement communities and several school districts in the state of Texas.

David looks forward to helping the North Texas Pride Foundation in fulfilling its goals of advocating unity, equality and community integration for LGBTQ+ and allies.

I love the fact that I can proudly say that I am an American and a Native Texan. My family roots run deep in this state. I have a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management along with some education in Computer Science. Currently I am working in the Credit industry. I was a volunteer for CCGLA doing special events. I was on the board for C.U.R.E which stands for Community, Unity, Respect, and Education by displaying blocks of the AIDS quilt. I am a Co-founder of North Texas Pride Foundation. I am also a Drag Artist that helps raise funds for other nonprofits that benefit the community.

I moved to Dallas in the summer of 2005. I met my partner, now husband, in 2008. We married in August of 2015. My husband had a dream of doing the first pride even in Collin County. I saw it as a way of making one of his dreams come true. This having been said we had the first event in 2011. When I came up with the Theme of “Come As You Are“ it was truly meant to come to the party and feel free to be you. I didn’t realize then that we were making history much less a movement north of highway 635 for LGBTA+ community.
